A vintage wedding dress. She connected me Carrie Dvorak, who lived a dream and found the perfect wedding dress, while wandering around Georgetown. Carrie, speech-language pathologist in the Prince William County, Virginia, was kind enough to share her story - and tons of great photos. Some valuable advice after the jump! I think I knew what I wanted more than I knew what I wanted.I knew that I did not want cookie-cutter clothes from big name bridal shop wanted 'FROOF' and wanted something that fit our reception site (our reception was in the 1800's barn beams, country-set). I always had a love for vintage clothing, clothing styles, so I'm inclined to have concerns that. We decided that afternoon in Georgetown with her husband and a couple of meandering around, literally, have a nice afternoon.When we drove through Georgetown to find parking, I saw a sign for a trade, who said: "designer vintage clothing" and said: "I do not care what we see in other places, I have to go in this store before leaving." So we trade him to the end (still called at that time I did not plan to look for possible wedding dress. Anyway, when I saw the dress, I thought it was absolutely gorgeous. Emily and another store employee convinced me to try it "just for fun." Once I had for I knew it was my dress, and could see that everything is in place.There was no way I was leaving the store without clothes, but I had to send some pics quick text message to my mother, who was quite disappointed not to be with me to find my dress, but when I saw it in real life is totally unknown . We knew that we had still some work ahead though to make it fit, and have it not see-through. I had the same 'a-ha' experience, when I decided on the veil....
